Natalia Livingston (born March 26, 1976 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania) is an American soap opera actress . She is best known for her role as Emily Quartermaine, adoptive daughter of supercouple Alan and Monica Quartermaine, on the ABC daytime soap opera General Hospital . The second actress to play the role, Livingston portrayed Emily from April 1, 2003 through May 7, 2008, winning a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2005 . Livingston returned to General Hospital as new character Rebecca Shaw from January 15, 2009 through December 22, 2009 . On January 15, 2009, Livingston returned to General Hospital for 11 months as new character Rebecca Shaw . Prior to her role as breast cancer survivor Emily, Livingston had performed a breast self-exam after watching an episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show promoting awareness for the disease. She found a lump, which turned out to be benign. At one point Livingston dated General Hospital co-star Tyler Christopher.
